Apostle Joshua Russell
Apostle Joshua Russell is the visionary and co-founder of The School of The Joshua Ministries established in 2016 in Northern Virginia. He is the co-senior leader alongside his wife, Pastor Ashley Russell. He is the fifth child out of seven and raised within a military family. In 2013, he obtained favor from the Lord and married his beautiful wife. To this union, they have two children: Jeanette and Josiah.
In 1999, while attending the City of Refuge Christian Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, Joshua heard the call of God on his life as a teenager. Although he strayed from that truth, he later gave his life in total dedication to following Jesus Christ in 2003 while in Merced, California. A few years following, he completely accepted his calling in 2004 and was trained thoroughly. It was in 2007 when he was ordained by Apostle Q. Howard into the ministries of prophet, pastor, evangelist, and teacher in Richmond, VA.
In 2012, Joshua was commissioned into a new role of ministry by being called as a missionary to go to Southern and Eastern Africa. He has further advanced in that role since then and has had the opportunity to be sent by the Lord to travel, train, and bring teams to demonstrate God’s love through “signs and wonders that follow those who believe” according to Mark 16:17-18, in the Caribbean islands.
It was in 2016 when he received a dream encounter from the Lord that would later initiate the apostolic school called “The School of The Joshua Ministries” (TSOTJM). He and his wife have established this ministry school to become a church hub to foster Christ’s disciples for end-time kingdom work in all areas of influence.
In 2020, Joshua and his wife began Global Missions Institute (GMI) alongside other leaders based in the U.S. and other countries founded. This serves as an online institution to train missionaries to go preach the gospel to all nations. In 2020, Joshua was ordained and received the apostolic impartation and commission into the right hand of fellowship by the laying on of hands by presbytery in the ministry of the Apostle by Apostle LaShae Mckinney.
He continues that mission, as well as training and equipping others in the work of ministry, helping those to discover their purpose/ministry, and building the body of believers into “a city upon a hill”. He is dedicated to discipleship and mentorship to ensure an agape-sonship relationship with the Father.
